Join for our Annual Back to the Field event at Orvis Dallas ahead of this year's hunting season!

This is a casual meet and greet with members and non-members, so bring your friends! The Dallas Chapter will provide a preview of planned events, and provide food, drink, and a few free raffles. Enjoy fellowship with other Stewards and outdoorsmen and women as we celebrate the upcoming hunting season.

Dallas Chapter Family Dove Hunt (Saturday, September 19, 2026)

Date: Saturday, Sept. 19-Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026

Time: Afternoon hunt on Saturday, Sept. 19 (arrive by 1:30 p.m.) and morning hunt on Sunday, Sept. 20.

Location: Albany, Texas

This is a great opportunity to get out in the field with your family doing what we all love and introduce your children to conservation and a fun time in the field. A great Stewards tradition. Introducing the next generation to conservation stewardship what it means to be a "Steward of the Wild"!

Safety is at the upmost importance, if this is your child's first hunt or first time shooting you MUST email Katie at kcharles@tpwf.org for additional guidance and suggested preparations.

Cost:

Option 1: $150/family for Saturday afternoon hunt (dinner is included)
Option 2: $200/family for Saturday afternoon hunt and Sunday morning hunt (dinner and breakfast are included)
PLEASE NOTE LODGING IS NOT INCLUDED -Recommended lodging is Albany Motor Inn, Hereford Hotel; Bell Mare Hotel (Breckenridge, TX ~20 minutes away); numerous hotel options in Abilene, TX.

The Dallas Chapter is helping covering some of the cost so that we can get as many youth involved as possible. Ticket Option 1 includes a Saturday afternoon dove hunt and dinner back at the silos; Ticket Option 2 includes a Saturday afternoon dove hunt, dinner back at the silos, breakfast Sunday morning and a Sunday morning dove hunt.

Please note that release waivers will be required for parents to sign prior to hunting. Minors (under the age of 18) must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian for this hunt. Minors who are not accompanied by a parent/legal guardian will not be allowed to hunt.

Important details: All adult hunters must have completed hunters safety education prior to the hunt. Hunters education is also required for children aged 9 and older and must be completed prior to the hunt. Please note this is not a first time hunt for adults, adults attending should be experienced and have completed hunters ed. Waivers will be provided for adults and children and a parent or legal guardian must sign waivers for his/her minor child(ren) that is attending. Children without a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian will not be allowed to participate in the hunt.

Cancellation Policy: Cancel 4 weeks in advance of event, receive a full refund. Cancel 2-4 weeks in advance of event, receive 50% refund. Cancel less than 2 weeks in advance of event, receive no refund.
